It all started with the Diggers!… When we heard the children on Sunshine and Dolphin Wards were enjoying looking down as our diggers worked on the new Royal Eye Unit and Paediatric Oncology extension at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we thought that there was only one thing we could do… We asked Santa Claus (Kieran Santry), Mrs. Claus (Charlotte Gray) along with Martin McGuire (Contract Director) and Taha Zeglam (Site Manager) from Storm to bring some early Christmas cheer and presents including Storm Teddy Bears, Chocolate Selection Packs, Lego Construction Kits and Amazon Gift Cards to the children and teenager’s on the wards.
A parent emailed us after Santa’s visit to say “It was such a lovely surprise, my two year old was SO excited to see Father and Mrs. Christmas, and he has been cuddling his teddy bears ever since he got them. It was such a kind thing to do, and really lifted the spirits of our entire ward.”
