Description
The objective of this project was to reconfigure and refresh the tired environment and expand the capacity of the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Unit (EPAGU) on the 8th Floor of the North Wing at St Thomas’s Hospital.
This included the strip out and demolition of partitions with new walls, doors and room fit-out and a full Mechanical and Electrical strip out of electrical wiring and medical gas pipework and ventilation outlets.
The new facilities include additional Scan Rooms, 3 Consulting/Examination rooms 2 additional accessible WC’s and a Quiet Room whilst moving the office accommodation away from clinical areas and is an important project for a huge number of patients who will benefit from these improved facilities in the coming years.
Testimonial
Although known to the Trust this was the first time that Storm has worked with on the St Thomas’ Hospital site with its complex M&E issues and throughout we found them to be professional and approachable. Storm were proactive throughout the project, allowing any challenges to be discussed and resolved swiftly to everyone’s satisfaction. Their site management and control of all works on site was excellent and ensured that the project was delivered to time, budget, and a high standard of finish which patients will benefit from in the coming years.
