This project involved the construction of the Treatment Centre at Lister Hospital in Stevenage to create new Elective Procedure Rooms (EPR) for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

The new EPR consists of a block room, 2 procedure rooms, patient recovery suite (6 bays) as well as a reception, waiting area and associated rooms which will support the Trust’s initiative to reduce the backlog for day surgery procedures, free up valuable space in operation theatres, improve theatre productivity and reduce waiting list.

Undertaken in a live hospital environment whilst the rest of the treatment centre remained open, the work involved the excavation of the existing car park, new internal partitioning, floors, walls, ceilings build up and finishes as well as new mechanical and electrical installations and a new external Air Handling Unit adjacent to the building.
