Storm takes pride in being at the forefront of the Government’s £350m initiative to establish 40 new community diagnostic centres (CDC) across England with this project is the first CDC to be completed on the High Street, within The Mall Shopping Centre in Wood Green, North London.

This project involved the amalgamation of two shop units within the shopping centre with a full strip out in preparation for the reconfiguration of the space to create 2 X-rays, 2 Ultrasound rooms as well as ophthalmology, phlebotomy, staff welfare and associated rooms.

In addition, Storm undertook the conversion of the basement to create an area for the installation of a Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI Scanner and a Siemens Somatom CT Scanner after the sub-basement had been tanked to prevent further water egress in to the centre. Now complete the CDC provides a one-stop-shops for checks, scans and screening making it easier for people across Haringey and North Central London to access diagnostic testing.

I would add my thanks to you all, without your collaboration and hard work this would not have been possible. What an amazing achievement! And on time and on budget – incredible!

I would like to express my thanks to Storm and your team’s contribution in getting this project, the first NHS Community Diagnostic Centre in a London shopping centre over the line. A remarkable achievement with such a tight programme delivered on time and to budget, which was only achieved as a result of the collaborative efforts of the whole team. This is the first time that NCL ICS have worked with Storm and throughout I found them to be professional, approachable, and proactive and we would have no hesitation in working with them again in the future.
