Description

The works involved the refurbishment and remedial building works to the 4 storey West End Blood Donor Centre in Central London. The main donor and staff areas were redesigned to increase the number of blood donation beds from six to nine beds and improve the donor experience.

The works also involved the upgrade of the mechanical and electrical systems including ventilation, 30 new windows and interior water damage repairs. Parts of the building remained open throughout meaning that some of the works were required to be carried out at the weekend

The programme was as critical as this is NHS Blood and Transplant busiest blood donor centre covering London and the South East.
