This project involved the refurbishment within ground floor of the1960’s/70’s Royal Eye Unit that was unsuitable to meet patient demand in its existing layout at Kingston Hospital.
The modernised of the new Acute Referral Clinic (ARC) means the staff and patients now have access to 6 Patient Bays, Casualty Office, Clinical Preparation Area, Hot Desk Area, Record Storage, Reception & Triage Nurse, Store Room and improved circulation.
The work included some demolition, new partitioning and door sets, ceiling and lighting, flooring, LTHW and new sanitaryware as well as new firestopping, access control, nurse call, Fire and alarm system and updated mechanical and electrical services
I wanted to say a BIG thank you for the fantastic work carried out on delivering our new Acute Referral Clinic (ARC). It really looks & feels great and already I can see and hear how it has resulted in huge positive uplift of morale and positivity of the team in ARC, so much so that we are seeing unexpected expressions on interest in working in this high-pressure environment
