Strip out and light demolition of internal walls and partitions in Northey Ward on the 5th floor of Wells Wing at Epsom Hospital to create 20 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms offering all the benefits and exclusivity of private healthcare with all of the income generated being reinvested into the Trust’s NHS services, benefiting the wider community as a whole.

This work was undertaken in a live hospital environment whilst Swift Ward (5th floor) and the Acute Medical Unit, Buckley and Chuter Ede wards (4th floor) in Wells Wing were occupied which meant that good communications was essential with the adjacent departments and noise, dust and vibration needed to be kept to a minimum.

Testimonial

We have engaged Storm on several projects in recent years through the open tendering process and have found them to be professional, approachable and cooperative.

Their staff are well managed, working well within the live hospital environments with a desire to achieve a good finish with least disruption to services and I have no hesitation in inviting Storm to tender for further capital work at the Trust.
