This project involved the provision and installation of a new machine roomless traction 33 person / 2500kg Dainton bed/passenger lift, including the construction of a new exterior brick shaft to all floors of the building, installation of structural steelwork, new cladding, roofing, windows and fit out works inside. It also involved new electrics, fire alarms and exterior landscaping.

This work was undertaken in a live environment with the busy Langley Wing at Epsom Hospital while still fully occupied which meant that noise, dust and vibration needed to be kept to a minimum and good communications was essential with the adjacent wards and departments.

Testimonial

We have engaged Storm on several projects in recent years through the open tendering process and have found them to be professional, approachable and cooperative.

Their staff are well managed, working well within the live hospital environments with a desire to achieve a good finish with least disruption to services and I have no hesitation in inviting Storm to tender for further capital work at the Trust.
